when i first got my leggy a couple years ago, i replaced the plugs and wires..
i was bone stock. i knew nothing about subes and everything i knew about cars i had learnt myself.
anyways, while replacing the plugs i came up with this knowlege.
if i gap the plugs a little bigger, they i will burn the fuel better. so i gapped them at 48.
so a couple years later i started thinking about my plugs because i've been running higher boost for a while now and hadnt thought to check them.
anyways i pulled them, then checked them. 48-50. thats when i rememered why i gapped them like that. 1 plug had a little oil on the top so i guess it wasnt quite tight.
so, i dropped each plug down to 30-32, and snugged them all firm.
then i went for a ride. i was expecting a little difference. but i was definitely thrown back in my seat harded. hesitation is gone, and that miss i've been having on hill climbs is gone. i'm stoked and feel a little stupid for my previous knowledge of gapping plugs.
i'm wondering about my gas mileage? i think i'll see an improvement there too.
i wonder what made the biggest difference. the not so tight plug or the gap.
properly gapped plugs for the win

There is no way in hell that you wont get better mileage!i'm wondering about my gas mileage? i think i'll see an improvement there too.

As far as what happened i say the gap definitely played a bigger role, but then i dont know just how loose that plug was.I say your gap was resulting in the voltage not being able to even bridge part of the time, resulting in your miss. One thing i certainly learned a long time ago is that problems really are typically caused by the simple things.
