Converting 2WD to AWD

Anyone done it? Can I do it just swaping parts? I could just buy an AWD I know but my car is in such good condition and less than 60K on it. I'm going to be buying an STi soon for a daily driver and thinking of turn this car into my project track car. And whats needed?

Rear hubs, halfshafts, diff, front diff, driveshaft, ... um ... anything else? Tranny? Computer?

I think I'd rather do this than buying one too because then it gives me someone more to work on. I'm always a little sad when I get a project and it's done.

Bare in mind I can get all the parts at my local Pick N Pull for cheap so I'm not worried about price. Well all the parts but an LSD ... which I would want if I was going to do it.

Transmission, gas tank, drive shaft, rear diff, subframe, axles, hubs, struts, springs. If you ever want a project, you can restore mine. I hate doing the work, I like the finished product. Especially when it will allow me the space to build a vehicle from scratch.

Check out the stick in this forum, and specifically most post. I've got a detailed write-up on the procedure.

the conversion is real easy... i went off the detailed writeup as listed above for some stuff, but it's all direct bolt on so you'll be fine.
