So the idiot lights/tachometer on the dash were working. But I go to turn the car on and they don't come on at all but the car starts up just fine. The defrost in the middle is barely lighting up like there is a short of some sort.
I checked the fuses but none of them are bad. I am gonna bring out the volt meter tomorrow and poke around but I was wondering if you guys might have a clue as to what could be wrong or a good place to start looking. Thanks.

Also as a side note my reverse lights work and so do all my lights but my blinkers don't blink they just stay solid. Any help with that would be great also.

Have you checked the ignition switch or the fuse box. You may have a worn out ignition or, more likely, a loose fuse or connection to the fuse box.
Oh, check the wire harness up under the steering wheel. I don't know which fuses you checked but the box under the hood may have a loose connection. I hope it's not a short.

Thanks for the help. It was a fuse that I missed that was blown.
The blinkers still stay on solid and don't turn off still. None of the lights are out on the blinkers, that's the strange part. Also these did work before I did a auto to a five speed swap, but now they don't.
What is reallllly weird is when I hit the emergency flashers it blows the idiot/tach fuse. So I know my short is somewhere along there. Any suggestions on where it could be? I can get the wiring diagram that I used to do the 5 speed swap. I used the plug and play method.
