I'm getting a paint job in less than a week, but I can't decide if I want my car to be black or graphite gray. What do you guys think? My wheels are white, so keep that in mind.
This is graphite gray:
And I'm assuming you all know what black looks like...
Thanks in advance for your opinions!!

I'd like to, but I was just hit by a drunk Asian woman and the entire left side of my car was destroyed. So I now have mismatched doors and fenders....

Hmmm... like the gunmetal but if your going to stray from white I say go black, It will help offset the sound of a drunk asian chick dragging under your car.

Make sure they get all the jams and such or everything will be outlined in white, but I love the dark gray on that Liberty.

Have you looked at gun metal grey? I think it looks pretty sweet, if i'm not mistaken they put a pearl clear coat over the grey so it has a purple sheen to it when the sun hits. Pretty nice IMO

when you change the color of the car it always comes out looking hack unless you take it down to the shell. plus pearl white is a bad ass rare color.
I know, I'd really like to stick with it, but ENTIRE left side of my car is Slate Gray right now, so I figure that I'll try something new.
I'm going to my best friend's mom's paint shop. Actually his mom does all of the legal work for them, but my point is that they usually do $4-5,000 paint jobs. So it's DEFINITELY going to be quality. The entire car will be stripped to a shell and all the jambs will be painted. The underside of the hood will be painted and the trunk as well. They also said for about an extra $700 they can do the engine bay.

When I had my car painted a few years ago, the guy told me the cost is in the pigment and the metallic wasn't a big deal. Me, thinking historically (like ancient), guessed my blue would be worst, but he told me it was actually cheap, but that reds were pretty expensive. Don't know about grays and maybe the relative prices fluctuate, but the metallic didn't make much difference price-wise.

Just ask the paint guys what the difference will be since my information is old. Pearl white was also an expensive color then, too, but not black.

Ok, so I think I'm going to go with the gunmetalish color. Next question, do I get the trim painted or not? I'm talking about the molding that wraps around the entire car and the frames around the windows.

WR Blue FTW... the only thing I would change on that one is the blue upright between the rear door window and the aft qtr window, I think that should have been black.
I love the black when it's clean... but that doesn't occur often Budget in a lot of trips to the carwash for a black car.
The original black on my car was pearl from the factory...
My next paint job is going to be either dark met. grey or WR blue.
...or satin black rustoleum with a roller
