Who wants my car? $2000 as is

Post by Mattheww044 »

Hey guys I'm sure you all know my car if not it's the link in my sig... So I found out some pretty sweet news today. I'm pretty sure the 03 tranny is screwed. I will sell the car to the first person with $2000 cash can take the car. I will be keeping the wheels/ tires, front brakes, sways, seats, and then a few other minor things. All of these parts will be replaced with stock. The motor is still solid and this car would be great to either build back up to it's full potential which I'm sure you saw when Kelly had it, or to swap parts to your current legacy. I wish I could afford a new tranny but I just signed up for college and definately wasn't expecting this to happen. Whoever knows this car knows that the parts on this car are well over 2000 but I'm just going to have to take a loss on this one. If you guys can spread the word to any other legacy enthusiasts I would appreciate it. Don't be afraid to pm me any questions.
Thanks

I don't see your signature.

If you want to sell the car you should post pictures and write down what it has.

That's actually a really nice car! If I had $2,000 I'd buy that for sure. My project takes all my spare money though.

You should be able to sell that easily.

Matt,

You have a PM with my phone number :).

For $2,000 I would like to seriously discuss this more with you. I'm in the process of completing my build and this could be REALLY nice and I could also take care of the car appropriately.

Thank you,

Lee

Damn! I was gonna buy that. Too slow I guess. I live in Oregon too so it would have been an easy trip. If something happens, I'm here.

Thanks guys. Current plan is to swap the engine and turbo over into my 93' and perhaps the PP6 as well. At that point I will swap one of my spare EJ22T into the car and restore it to it's former stock glory. I'll get the tranny fixed and she'll be all road ready again. Then who knows....

So nothing cool like caging it. Although it would be cool.... But do you guys actually have rally down in Moscow?

Nice. I would've gone for it if it weren't 3500 miles away. I'd probably do the same thing, Lee.

There was a regional rally down near Lewiston 2 weeks ago called Wild West. I would have finished the 92 sedan I bought and raced but instead I slipped a disc and had surgery. Lol

Hmm... I'll have to start watching more. I'd love to enter my 93' into a rally assuming it's not a sanctioned event that requires me to have points and such as I do not have a NA or a FWD to start with.

And sorry to hear about the slipped disk. Hopefully that's going better now.

That said, the tranny needs a new rear housing. I'll actually be posting a wanted add before too long. The center diff needs swapped and it sounds like a couple of the bearings in the tail housing also need replaced due to the untypical high load they've seen.

High loads? Is this car RWD? Or is that a different Spokane subie?

I have no idea if it's feasible but I have a rear housing and center diff from a 93 that I might not be using. I just bought a worn 1999 4.11 gearbox and according to Andrewtech automotive I am able to install ALL the guts from that into my extra 1993 3.9 gearbox case. It's yours if i don't use it, and provided it it's compatible, which is probaly a long shot.
