BACKSTORY: My Leggy is a 93 5mt N/A wagon. I bought a 92 4eat SS for $600 from Vegas, both of which are white. Now ive swapped interiors, front rotors, pads, and calipers, hood, grill, bumper (skin and support cut to fit FMIC), swatbars, wheels, and next comes the motor swap and trans swap. The 2.2T is comming out of the SS, and being replaced with the 2.2 n/a and vice versa, as the 4eat is staying in the SS and the 5mt in the wagon. SO...
OUTCOME GOALS: Have a clean DD 93 wagon that looks like and has all better Touring Wagon parts, with the 2.2T AND 5mt, and sell the former SS which will now be a boring old white 92 N/A 4eat with all the boring stock wagon parts swapped onto it and get my $600 back. SO THERE! (phew!)
QUESTIONS:
1) will i be ok to use my n/a 5mt?
2) i work at a dealership, so ive got some ppl who know their stuff, ill have the flywheel looked at to see if its ok. i dont launch the car because of my unknown condition/age of the clutch. i plan to replace the TOB along with RMCS before anything else goes together, along with a stock clutch setup. does allof this sound ok so far?
3) any problems anyone sees with my thought process and plans, maybe things im overlooking?
4) my 93 wagon has 220k on it... the SS has 80k... itll be like a new motor!
5) i live in AZ, NO RUST!!!!
6) anyone wanna buy a 92 4eat n/a!? CHEAP!!!!
7) whose still with me!? lol
Ok guys, gimme something good here. Im a longtime viewer on the board and i know how you guys like to go off on tangents on things that are irrelivent to the specific questions asked, im trying to give as much info as i can, this is my 5th or so 1st gen leggy, so i know my way around them. i do all my own work to my cars, and like it that way so that way i know whats been done and what i fucked up on. Ive never had a 2.2T before so im pumped to see the power difference when i get the wagon buttoned up. id like to set the car up for auto-x in flagstaff where theres alot of minis and miatas that need spankin', and what better embarassment to do so then a 93 leggy wagon!? Oh, and one last thing... 17x7 wheels with 245/40-17s sound good? just waiting till my 205s are bologna skins, got the 245 michis from a mercedes waiting in the garage!

Where are you in AZ?
Flagstaff?
7) I'm still with you.
Your overall plan sounds solid to me. (I wish I could have a 5MT in my TW and/or ss.) I haven't checked to make sure but I believe the NA 5spd ratio is 4.111 and the TW AT ratio is 3.90.
What kind of wheel offset and suspension are you planning to use with the 245s? In your pics, are those the wheels/tires you're planning to install after the 205s are gone? If so, you may have some fender clearance issues unless you've got really stiff springs and the offset on those wheels may wear out the wheel bearings more quickly. If you're going with properly offset wheels, you'll need coilovers; otherwise, the 245s will probably rub on the rear struts. Or, you could use wheel spacers if you stick with the GR-2s but then it'll put more stress on the bearings. And whatever way you go, you may have to roll your fenders if you're going to be cornering hard.
The Revtronics chip (and supporting mods) may be something to look into for more torque and hp and a short-shifter for quicker shifting. Wrx front brakes is a relatively inexpensive upgrade over the turbo brakes (I noticed an improvement when I installed mine.)
Did I stay relatively on-topic? Okay, now this is going off-tangent (sorry!) but if you ever part out that sedan, I'm looking for a few body parts (depending on the condition and price).
Since we're both in AZ, maybe we'll get to meet up someday...
Have fun modding your TW!

Just a heads up, 225 wide is the maximum recommended tire width for a 7" wheel.
A friend of mine (Deride) tried his summer impreza wheels on his SS and he said with some serious fender rolling, possibly coilovers, and the perfect wheel offset his 235's would go on.

prolly gonna grab some 17x8s to be safe. ill probably put the blue ones on my RX7 and sell it eventually. and as far as the sedans body goes, its ehh, ok... dents and scrapes, im probably going to swap the door handles. the front mount and bumper is still on the sedan, but just for mock-up purposes. i drive my wagon everyday so i need it to be road worthy. im in Havasu btw. and did you know, hehe, that my dealership (Anderson Chrysler Dodge Jeep) has taken on the Subaru line and will be getting new models by the end of the month! im currently a lube tech, but im taking my prereq training for chrysler so that they can send me to Sooob school! im psyched, fo sho! im the only one who is excited, everyone else hates "Jap Crap" ...bunch of redneck hillbilly jeep lovers... pleck! anyone see my WagonMafia logo on the fmic? huh, huuuh!? lol. im lovin it. oh, so now that i mentioned it... anyone want a rediculously clean 88 fc? ill grab pics and post when i can. its gone through... head to toe, inside and out, top to bottom. its my trailer queen, its been in garages it entire life, i can point out every imperfection by memory. ive owned it for 4 years now, bought it for a graduation present to myself, paid cash, its been driven for a week. decided i wanted to do something crazy like an LS1 so i sold the block, kept all the aftermarket parts. now, after many failed relationships, and paychecks, i got a brand new S5 motor sitting in it. all parts are there, needs to be put back together. entertaining trades is an option. lemmie know!
