4eat transfer clutch replacement writeup?

Post by magicmike »

Is there one? I've heard some funny noises in the snow from my 4 eat when boosting hard. I think this may be on its way out.

I'm talking about using a kit like this

to replace these:

simple fix...remove clutches and weld it in the basket. Theres enough give in the front diff and rear to keep any serious problem from arising. Then you will have peace of mind in knowing theres a continuous 50/50 going out.

You won't break anything, but it is quite annoying around corners. Steering is much harder around corners as well.

Thanks for the input guys. However, I'm not looking to turn my car into a drift machine. I already have a rwd car that I can barely drive in the rain.

Like I stated above. I'm looking for some material to be able to do the service myself on my 4eat.

ok so wait a minute... I don't have torque bind. I have a strange noise and rear wheel slippage at high boost levels only in the snow. I though it was the clutch pack.

Hum, Maybe I have a problem with sol C?
