1990 legacy shift linkage bushing are shot!!!!!!
I cant seem to find replacement bushings anywhere! Just wondering what you guys would suggest for a fast/easy fix? does anyone have a write up or tips for working on the linkage? thanks
sold my s2000 now rocking the 1990 legacy
a few years ago bac5.2 came up with a homemade solid plastic bushing setup for the rear body end mount. i made one and it was good. basically you get 2 chunks of plastic half the height of the rubber part, clamp them together, drill a hole the same size as the linkage rod centered between the pieces so it takes a half round part out of each then drill bolt holes thru them to hold it together sandwiching the linkage rod, cut out the rubber and drill holes through the metal bracket to hold the plastic pieces and it all bolts together. not really quick or easy i guess lol. then there are the big round rubber bushings for the trans end available in poly from a bunch of bushing makers. you gotta actually take some time and search and look for the parts.
