Another coil option?

I have yet to test it, as I don't have a spare coil pack, but...

From 89 to 99 Ford used a similar coil to the one that is in the Subarus, on the Mod motors, before they went to a COP system.

Has anyone checked using a Ford EDIS, or aftermarket type, coil on a Subaru?
