Will an OEM 04 WRX Clutch/Flywheel work with my 91 BJ 2.2L N/A 5MT? I'm going to buy some other things from the same person tomorrow and trying to figure out if I should pick up the flywheel/clutch as well?

Thank you for any help!!!

The guy claims that the clutch/flywheel are in good shape and he wants $60 for both.

Thanks guys,
Brad

Well I didn't know the answer so I "searched" and found this:

Clutch and Flywheel must match the transmission. Rear differential ratio must match the trans also.
in this thread:

However, other members have reported using a WRX clutch in their turbo transmissions.

The turbo and NA transmission have some important differences.

The best results I found was by searching for: wrx clutch, here's an example:

I don't want to bum you out, but in the 9 or so years this site has been around, most questions you are asking have been answered.

A N/A transmission CANNOT use a WRX/Turbo clutch and flywheel.

N/A use a tradtional "push" type of pressure plate.

Turbo transmissions use a "pull" type of pressure plate.

If yopur looking for an upgraded clutch, look at ones specced for a '98-'01 Impreza 2.5 RS.

**exceptions to the rule....Newer turbo transmission (~'05+) went back to "pull" type clutches, but are still not compatable with N/A transmissions.
