This is for non-Subaru related topics. Keep it realistic please.

We get heaps of emails every day from people asking about BOV's so we made a whole video about it. (90% of the emails are from South America and Malaysia , seriously)

So here it is - hope you enjoy!

There are probably Chinese companies putting together air compressor/BOV kits now.

That performance comparison didn't really take into account the recirc vs atmospheric trade-offs. They were both just functional vs a malfunctioning old stock valve.

Yeah they did. They dyno'd recirc and atmospheric and came up with the same power output.

Awesome! See, this is the kind of shit I need to come up with. There's no money in selling intelligent ideas and quality work to intelligent people—way too limited a market. But you never go broke selling to idiots.

You're kind of like a modern-day intellectual Robin Hood—taking from the dumb to give to the smart. I commend you, sir!

Sure, they came up with the same power output for the in-gear dyno pulls. But that just showed that both designs were capable of maintaining higher boost (unlike the old stock unit). They didn't compare performance with variable throttle positions. The GFB guy talks about maintaining some boost in the intercooler during closed throttle, which they didn't test. If I was comparing aftermarket BOVs, that's the part that would interest me.
