Adding conditioner to AT
so ive looked through all kinds of service manual and the car manualfor my 91 ss, and whereever i seem to look for the AT fluid dipstick it is nowhere to be found, im just wondering if im just not seeing it or if it is missing, whereabout is this thing, im wanting to give it a AT conditioner to help with some leaks and hard shifts.
The AT dipstick is on the driver's side with a metal handle.
You can see the metal tube in these pictures

Just my .02...the Lucas made things worse on my Legacy 4EAT. What did help was replacing (not flushing) the fluid. Drain>>Fill>>Drive, repeat X 3, to get most of the old stuff out.
Flushing a high-mileage AT can cause issues w/seals, etc. - I lost Reverse!
So, I just suggest replacing the fluid.
Also, the trans fluid dipstick 'might' have a yellow handle, but that may have been the NA trans.

Lucas trans fix is about as worthwhile as their oil stabilizer; Pure Garbage. Is it thick. Auto tranmissions dont like THICK oil. You're looking at 48 CST at 100C. That's about the only way it stops leaks.
Something that I'd recommend instead is www.autorx.com
I used that in my 4EAT and got rid of the severe torque bind it at at parking lot speeds..
