Fuel pump relay fix

Post by __TT__ »

Just want to throw this out there

Had issue with starting the sisters wagon this morning.

No fuel
pulled pump and worked fine with 12v
connecters were all fine
relay clicked

but no voltage out of relay

I could have replaced it but I took it apart and found that the electrical contacts inside that attach the two pieces together just needed to be squeezed back together. also made sure the switch part of the relay worked. and wala

Given that they can stop your motor from running, that they are quite hard to get at and, it's your sister and pressumably you don't want her to be broken down some rainy night.... I'd have fitted a new one!
