flywheel and clutch

Post by __TT__ »

So I found a salvage yard that will give me a package deal for the 5mt swap on my t-wagon. I don't know the doner car yet but I wondered if I can purchase the flywheel and clutch before I know where the tranny comes out of. I think I can go ahead with a SS flywheel and clutch if I'm right?! The tranny I'm sure will be from a NA impreza with hydro I believe.

I forget which one is which but one is pull type clutch and the other is push type, so you can't use a turbo clutch on a n/a tranny

Yeah, you can't use a turbo flywheel & pp setup with an non-turbo tranny.

but cant you convert a pp setup to work with it?

ok so Should I just go with an RS style flywheel and clutch? That should work with most any na mt setup right? if so what years are good for that?
