carrier bearing hitting the body.
i have had this problem for a while now with some sort of drive line issues. When i turn a moderate to hard right i can hear some kind of grinding hitting noise from the front or the mid of the car. I can physically feel the carrier bearing hitting the side of the car. does anyone know what would cause this

does it bind up when you turn sharply at low speeds, like at parking lot speed? Kinda feels like the brakes are being applied.

Is that the only time it does it? If it does it at other times as well, I'd begin to suspect transmission mounts. Also, here is an exercise that will only take you an hour - switch your left and right front CV's with each other... still make the noise? Has the noise switched to the other side? Sometimes a stiff knuckle will buck and complain on slow, sharpish turns. Just a thought.
Cheers,
