(Another) FWD Legacy Swap questions

I'm about to take delivery of a 1993 Subaru Legacy FWD. With the purchase, comes pretty much everything from a EJ22T minus block. (Pff who needs those anyways heh) The sole purpose of this car is to become an RallyCross car.. I plan to keep it FWD, but I'm planning on swapping all of the Turbo parts, and boosted the frick out of it. From what i read, I know what I'm getting myself into.. but I do have a few questions...
1.) ECU. I know basically, I will most likely need something more then the FWD ECU. Would a Legacy SS ECU do the job? or would I have to move to a piggyback, or even a full standalone? Also, would those chip I see they make for the SS's work in this build?
2.) I know I need the TMIC from an 06, which I guess fits better, but I also need a different inlet hose. is this something you can work around? or is it set in stone? different intake? different intake manifold? (just curious)
3.) Turbo. I'm getting a vf11 with the purchase, but I have a TD04 in the garage that needs a home.. from what i read, I need to get a 90* bend, but can this also be modified? (Engineered) or is this the most efficient way of doing it? (Turbo turn?)
4.) turbo crossmember - 100% need it?
5.) what is this intake maf or what ever that everyone wants? does this car have it, I'm just not sure what's going on there.. can someone explain why these are in demand?
6.) What else am I missing so far? walbro is on order, looking at some different types of WRX injectors.. what about cam grinds? timing? anything else?
BTW Hi guys, I'm Nate from Maine.. I'm new here, and this is my first Legacy... I've always been an Impreza guy.. I'm expanding my horizons.. heh
