FS: Built Long Block

Post by smh0101 »

So I'm not sure what way I'm going on my build... but I think I'm going to go a different way than the engine I have...

So what the engine is:

2.5l Open Deck 2002 RS Case
Matching Crank
STi Rods
CP Forged Pistons
ACL Bearings

1998 ej25d Heads (Shim/Bucket)

Has an oil pan, 10mm oil pump, turbo water pump (not an oil cooler one)

I pulled it because I thought it had a rodknock... but it didnt... right before I pulled it I discoverd the transmission is what was making the noises NOT the engine, but since the CPs are really loud, I decided to rebuild it with different pistons.

If you can deal with the pistons slap, this engine is ready to drop in. It ran great, but did use a little oil. And the comp ratio is pretty high, so its a beast... Nice off boost response, instant boost with smaller turbos and great all across the rev range.

I'll try and get some pics...

ASKING $800
$900 with an ej20g intake manifold.

I built it. Crank was polished and used new ACL bearings upon rebuild. Bloack was honed and hot tanked before rebuild. Pistons and rings were new. Was going to use for myself but ended up trading to Spencer.

The builder of this block knew what he was doing!!!! It runs sweet! :)

Yeah, I bought my own block back.

And yes, I like it!
