Hey guys,

Doing a standard rebuild of an ej22. There is uneven build up of carbon in cylinders 1 and 3 compared to Cylinders 2 and 4. 1 and 3 have a much larger amount of carbon.

What causes this?
is it running rich in these cylinder?

How can I rectify the problem

Any suggestions would be great

Cheers
dayno

It's possible that the injectors for these cylinders are flowing more. Or it may just be due to how the air flows through the intake into the heads and combustion chamber.

Where are you seeing the uneven carbon build up? On the pistons?
