looking for another subaru

Post by Danny-G »

ive been keeping my eyes open for another subaru cause my legacy is really worn out and either needs a total rebuild or new motor. so far ive got two options, one is a gc coupe at a wrecking yard, its a five speed that runs and drives but needs carpeting and front seats and its got a catch, the washington state patrol sent it to the wrecking yard with instructions to destroy it. i wouldnt mind a gc coupe for a car, and the guy at the yard said the price would be anywhere from 500-1000 which is a steal. the second option is a 96 impreza outback sport, its at a used car lot and it kinda called to me(if you know what i mean), ive been told it fits my style but the price is a little high in my opinion, about 6000 for the outback sport. i do like the outback sport but it is an auto and i would like a stick and it does have a plus being a four door vs the two door coupe in the wrecking yard.

any input would be appriceated. side note on the gc coupe, another wrecking yard in my area has a few coupes so getting the seats and carpet woundnt be a problem.

6000 for a '96 Outback sport is very high. You can almost get into a WRX for that much cheese.

thats what i was thinking about the price, it just seems too high even if the car has an alarm

Here's a 5-speed impreza outback needing a little work for $1400. I'd buy it in a heartbeat if I didn't have any projects.

If you're willing to drive a few miles in WA there's quite a few deals
