Had an "Off" tonight. LCA interchange Question

Post by FlatBlack »

I fixed my cooling issue [98% sure] by removing the thermostat completely. no fluid loss and no overheating.

The bad part is I was testing this out by practising for Sunday, I hit the brakes a bit hard when I should have been on the throttle, and I ended up in a ditch. Bent the right LCA, comme Nate.

The donor car for my 96 Impreza's motor is a 91 Legacy Wagon. I *think* the Legacy's LCA will fit, my roommate already took my red GC parts car's FR LCA. If it doesn't, I'll just pound the Impreza LCA to close enough [to where it's not rubbing on the fender] and call it "good,"
at least for the RallyX this weekend. Should be done by tomorrow evening.

Anyone know if the 1st gen Legacy LCA bolts up to my first gen Impreza? It looked like it did at a quick glance when I was under the Legacy.

Sorry [again] for the newb questions

Yes, they'll interchange.
When it doubt, throttle out.

Thanks for the quick response, that's fantastic.

I know :? I'm new to getting sideways in the dirt. That's why I'm driving around an Impreza shell I got for free with a Legacy drivetrain I bought for $400.
