Title says it all Just replaced my busted condenser, now after filling the system with 1 can pag oil and 1 3/4 can R134a the compressor just erratically clicks on off on off on on on on off off off on on off off, so insided i get hot cold hot cold hot freezing cold hot. Actually stopped completely for about an hour and a half on my way home from cave climbing yesterday. that wasn't good, i was hot..... Any ideas? Also, I didn't vac. the system after changing my condenser, just pumped it full'a refridgerant. I was hot
Did you have a vacuum pulled on the system before you put refrigerant in? If not, that's your problem. You have air and moisture in the system and it's freezing up.
You have to pull a deep vacuum for about 30 minutes. If you had the system open, you should also replace the receiver drier.
