Get a kartboy short shifter. Happy middle ground. That one you have is way too short. Control arms look niice.

Cool site though. 4thup.com No good wheels at the moment but I guess next week they've got a container coming in with tons of wheels. I'll keep an eye on them in the future for some nice wheels.

Anyone have any clue what the 2 white connectors are? I was hoping they were there so I could plug them into the clutch switches but that doesn't seem to be the case.

Alright so more wiring yea. I have figured out that most people have the MT harness on the tranny side and get the MT B15 plug for the chassis side do do this swap. Well, I didn't get that luxury so I am kaing my own with the AT harness.

And I have searched far and wide so I this should be correct.

AT B15 Connector is 12 pins
MT B15 Connector is 4 pins

Jumper 11+12 on AT B15 connector chassis side to bypass the starter interlock relay. This means the car will start even if it is in gear so becareful.

To make the reverse lights work connect pin 9 to pin 2 (AT -> MT) and pin 10 to pin 4 (AT -> MT)

For the neutral switch connect pin 1 to pin 1 (AT -> MT) and pin 4 to pin 3 (AT -> MT)

So what I am having to do.

MT without harness
Image
AT with harness that plugs in AT B15 connector
Image
So I cut this harness
Image
Removed the back cover so I could depin
Image
Image
So now I can make the AT connector basicly a 4 pin connector. Just have to rearrange pins.

Then I cut the 2 connectors off the MT and cleaned them up and added about 1 ft extra wire to extend it.
Image
the 2 colors are red/white and then black

This is a good link for multiple links for doing the swap. Another 4EAT to 5sp WRX Swap is finished Surrealmirage

Ok now if you are someone like me and you need to understand and see pictures this will clear up everything for good.

Pin 20 on B48-ECU/Transimmsion ID-Black/White

Pin 18 on B36-Combination Meter/Neutral Light-Light Green/Yellow wire

Back-Up Lights
This diagram here in highlighter shows why 9-2 (AT-MT) are connected and 10-4 (AT-MT) on the B15 connector
Image

This diagram shows mulitple things

1st: Bypassing the Starter Interlock Relay
why we jumper 11+12 on B15 creats the path that putting the selector in Park or Neutral would accomplish

2nd: Neutral Switch
why we connect 1-1 (AT-MT) and 4-3 (AT-MT) on the B15 connector. Now if you notice you will see where 4 actually goes on the chassis side. It goes to ground.
Image

And here is what the wire colors and positions should be for MT B15 connector
1-Light Green/Yellow
2-Black/Yellow
3-Black/Red
4-Brown/Yellow

Ok, so just got back from 6 days at the Tail of the Dragon and what a blast and epic trip. We had5 straight days to drive it and did 4 due to weather. One midnight run in the dark just to say we did I'll be posting videos. We also did the Cherhola Skyway were speeds reach over 100 MPH and various other fantastic drives. If you can ever make it over that way due it!

On another note, spent 24 hours straight before the trip trying to get the car up for the trip but ended up missing 2 bolts for the forward part of the tranny crossmember. So, I had to stop and get those ordered.

Welllllllll

She's back on the road yea! Had a little issue with the new downpipe making the exhaust to long so I cut the rear cat of the exhaust and bolted it up to the downpipe. Creats a little back pressure and not so load.

The 1st big problem was I was throwing code 23 so I did some research and did test and couldn't figure it out. Everything worked before and even though I go overboard on my projects they usually work out. Well what I ended up finding out was my Apexi SAFC was at fault. The signals for the MAF sensor weren't making through the box so either I need to tune the box to get it to run or it's bad. So for now I just jump the wires back together to make the code go away yea!

Next I need to fine tune the clutch pedal, get an alignment, switch rims, and put the interior back together. But I am happy and it's weird shifting in it now haha.

Pics and videos to come.

Ok so time for some updates.

Image

Finally got my Preo-R Speedlines on, got an alignment and for the most part running ok. Spent the majority of the day trying to fix my boost issue. Car didn't want to run in boost and was breaking up so I pulled the plugs and gapped them to about .028-.030. Went for a run and then my throttle body coupler was causing issues. Got all that fixed and went for a run where I could try and push it a little and see how it held boost. It did pretty good for the first couple pulls and then the last one I was doing a top run and got Check Engine Light. Did't feel any different but it's there

Codes 23, 33, 45 and 49

I have been driving the car for about a week without a speedo cable and haven't had any issues until now.

And just checked on the car and the codes are gone. Disconnected the battery and will check it in the morning and see what's up.
