New member from CO

Post by hitzkrieg »

New member here from Southwest Colorado. I've had a WRX for 2 years, but just got into the old Legacy scene with a 94 touring wagon. It's only seen 93k miles, and I scored it for a great price from a local, who knew nothing about the car.

It's been well maintained, runs great and just had the front of the engine resealed, along with timing belt and water pump. I couldn't be happier with the deal I got. :-D

It's going to get a nice clay bar and wax job once the weather gets a little warmer. Would anyone believe me if I said I only paid $1800 for this car? The only things it needs are tires and rear brakes.

$1800?!?! Thats dirt cheap for such a clean turbo wagon! When you do the rear brakes, if you need new rotors, make sure to get the proper vented ones.

Luckily for me, the guy inherited the car and didn't know a thing about it except it'd been his grandfathers. He didn't hesitate at my offer of 1800, which was surprising.

As for the brakes, I'm lucky and can machine the rear rotors. Going to just replace the front rotors because of heat damage, all the pads and flush the fluid. Thankfully I'm a mechanic and have access to a shop and get parts for cost.
