Transmission won't go

I was driving today and while on the gas my revs shot up and I had no more power. I pulled over checked fluid and all was good. So I went back in and started driving and there was this weird whining sound coming from under the hood and once again the power was gone. I haven't done much looking yet but I'm thinking torque converter? But not sure, anybody know?

Yeah....something in the trans is probably toast....torque converter or something that will likely require a rebuild.

I have been getting 16 power light blinks for a week but it was running great except the tranny cooler fan was always running, and the speedo/odometer/trip didn't work. So I probably messed it up pretty good

You need to pull the trans codes and see what is stored in the TCU.

That's the same thing my AT Oil Temp light does after my car dies. Have you had anyone look at your car since that has happened?
