changed my plugs and wires today also did the paranoid fab grounding kit, still having idle issues when the brake is depressed or the headlights are on, worse when combined.
Anyway just wanted to post some pics of the spark plugs, one was getting blow by

Maybe your fuel pump is not working very well or the filter is clogged or lines are dirty or injectors are clogged.

U should use the copper ones instead of platinum. Copper conducts more electricty. It would be different if u had a hotrod engine or sumthin that was hotter and would just melt the copper ones. I noticed a considerable difference in my engine running between the copper and platinum plugs.

Yeah everyone uses the copper NGKs. Just stock spec NGKs. Gapped .039-.043.

Yeah I ran coppers for awhile. Got some mis-fires. Swapped to plat's in my 96 Legacy. No issues. Guess it varys from person to person and car to car.
If you're having a rough idle maybe the Idle Air Control Valve is the culprit?

Kind of sounds like an alternator issue to me. I have read alot about a bad alternator causing issues with idling and other stuff.

I USED BOSCH +2, GREAT PLUGS....RUNS A LOT BETTER......
Re: any spark plug guru's
I have had the alternator checked and they said it was ok, i think its probably the IAC or the fact that the timing belt is old and needs to be changed. But it seems like Im still grounding out somewhere like when i push the brake or turn the headlights on something is drawing power and makes the motor bog down. Just installed a grounding kit too.

Re: any spark plug guru's
The pics are not high enough resolution to see the wear on the plugs.
If you are having issues when depressing the brake pedal, plugs are not your issue. Look elsewhere.
