1993 white Subaru Legacy L 1/29/03

Post by 93mightyS »

Here is a picture of my 1993 Subaru Legacy L. It looks almost like new with just 85,000 miles on it. Not bad for a 10 year old car. http://photos.yahoo.com/bc/heavycopper/ ... %26.view=t[/url]

I just need a new muffler soon

Nice and clean, really low miles too. I think any Subaru could come off the showroom floor with that many miles and still live a complete 12-14 year life cycle :P

Subaru mufflers...gotta hate `em...mine was about that bad. The only problem is that rusty muffler actually lets you hear something :o !

Thanks for the comments. It will be up to 86,000 miles this week. I live where I work so only put a few miles on it. That saves a lot on gas money.

Sorry, no exciting mods. It has new Bridgestone tires and rebuilt CV axels. The new muffler with long chrome tips will be the only change. That will come next month.

I never thought that mufflers where a problem.

Mine is now 12 years and 3 months old and my muffler is still perfect. Whats the deal?

My other one is 12 years and 2 months old and same thing.

Snow, and therefore salt, yeah I'm in Orlando, but my car was originally sold in WV, so it went through all that stuff...

The car was in Ohio for 7 years. I expect some rust on non protected parts. The rest is in good shape due to the thick underbody coating. I had the misfortune of driving a 1992 Dodge spiritless. The whole exhaust rusted out in 5 years. Then the cheap replacements rusted out every 2 years. My sister had it and sold it last year.

Damn, that's not fair, what the deal with my car? The previous owner was very meticulous with maintenance, and I'm even more so...

Of course, I am very unlucky, so...
