Jerky stick shift

Post by volny »

HI!

I've noticed that my stick shift jerks a lot lately, some kind of continuous bang bang sound when I'm stopped. Also it feels looser than before.

Other than that the car shift gears just right, just have to be a little delicate on the shifting to avoid any grinding noise etc...but that actually decreased a lot since I sea-foamed it.

Anyway is this anything to worry about or juts normal for a manual? my stick got da shakes! :D

Also I have an oil leakage underneath the car, not sure yet what it is and if it is related to the issue, could just be a bad oil pan plug.

The shifter bushings may be shot and need to be replaced. You'd have to take a look at the linkage under the car to see how they look.
