99 legacy with 2.5 DOHC engine. can I put in 2002 2.5 SOHC

Have 99 legacy 2.5 DOHC engine. Can I put in 2002 single overhead cam engine? If I put old intake (the 99) on will it fit and computer read inputs correctly etc? Also will it bolt to tranny exhaust mtr mounts etc?

Welcome to the BBS.

I can't say for sure, but you may run into some issues trying to put the 99 intake on the 02 engine. The ports on the heads may be different. If they are, you'd probably run into some issues using the 02 intake manifold and converting to the 99 wiring harness and sensors if the 02 sensors are not compatible with the 99 ECU.
