plastic reducer for stock boost controller

That spinning thing that makes all of the cool noises. OE and Aftermarket.

plastic reducer for stock boost controller

Post by JDMSLIK »

So the cars under the knife pretty hard right now. Got the tdo4 and tmic going in, currently replumbing the intake. Just curious, there's a little plastic reducer in the vacuum line I'm thinking of tossing. The reason I ask is cause I worked at a subaru dealership for roughly 7 years. Didn't do very many boost related diagnostics but one of the last ones I saw the tech beside me diagnosed a low boost and we were stumped. Ended up replacing that little reducer and line for kicks (brass on a 04 wrx) and it fixed the problem. I'll admit you guys know a shit load more about boost than most dealerships. Your input would be greatly appreciated. What does that plastic thing do? THx

The reducer is there to help improve readability and remove pulsations. I'd suggest leaving it there.
