no power to fuel pump

Post by 91'firebreather »

I would like to share some info with you guys.
I own a 91 turbo legacy and I lost all power to my fuel pump. When I replaced the relay
it still didn't work. I was at a loss so on a whim I unbolted the bottom of the back seat
the wires had shorted out and melted the plug together. I cut the plug out and connected
The wires with out the plug and it works.

I posted this to hopefully help others. It is a pain in the A@& to find and replace the relay

Welcome to the BBS, and thanks for the information.

Yeah, unfortunately that is a somewhat common problem on these cars, and the easiest fix is to do as you did and just use some separate spade connectors.
