top mount y pipe ?'s

so the general consensus is that the 06-07 tmic fits best, and it is my understanding that a 02-05 y pipe fits best as well? ive looked through a lot of the threads about td04 and tmic installs, but everyone does it different, and its all sort of unclear. is there a thread that shows what everyone agrees is the best tmic solution? i pretty much know that i will have to cut up a spendy silicone y pipe, but i just want the simplest solution possible. thanks in advance

it did, and i thank you bsod for that badass write up. thats the method i plan to use know, i just wanted to see if anything else came out of the woodwork, but it seems that your setup is probably the best one.
