Ok Ive got some HIDs on my 92 SS and the passenger side keeps going out after about a month or 2. Im not sure why the drivers side is doing fine but it is. Anyone had issues with this or know whats going on?
Thanks,
Grant

Re: HID bulbs keep going out, only on passenger side though
i had a kit for a while, don't remember the brand, i got it at action auto parts i think. Anyways, one side would always go out. i replaced bulbs and ballasts multiple times, but never had any luck. even sanded down all the grounds and when that didn't work grounded to the battery terminal for everything. sometimes it would work, most of the time it wouldn't. My best advice to you, at least from my experience, is to either contact daniel sterns to get better bulbs/harness, or to take out your hids and return them and stick with dimmer bulbs, or to find a set of the edm headlights which apparently make everything a million times better.

Re: HID bulbs keep going out, only on passenger side though
yeah, sorry it's not super helpful. i spent a year trying to get them to work. i guess real advice would be to check your grounds, make sure you're getting enough amperage etc. I actually upgraded my battery and alternator partially for the HIDs, didn't really help much though. I've been told that you shouldn't turn the car on with the lights on (if that makes sense) because the initial draw of everything turning on might not provide enough power for the ballasts or bulbs or whatever, causing damage. But i don't have any real proof of that. Anyways, good luck.
