Subaru 9 pin connector

Post by krot84 »

Hey guys, although my subaru's model is 1997 it doesn't have OBDII so i need your help on something.
I've orderd this adaptor for my car Image
Here's the site i've bought it from http://www.ebay.com/itm/SUBARU-9-pin-OB ... 0172903976
and my question is could i now connect any obd2 reader to it ? For example a bluetooth adaptor to work with my TORQUE APP on my Android ?

Thanks

Welcome to the BBS.

Honestly, I'm not sure. If you're hooking up to the Subaru specific connector, I would think whatever program you're using would need to speek subaru specific code language. That may not be the case, but I haven't heard of anyone trying it.

What I would suggest is try using the adapter the OBD2 reader, and see if the program/software will interface with the Subaru computer.

Yes I'm going to do that, and maybe I'll try it with the bluetooth adaptor.
I"ll let you know how it worked.
