Lifting a 92-94 wagon. What struts?

Post by Dave_J »

I have read so many strut posts and almost all are about dropping it into the weeds. I want to raise mine up some. So what struts give the best lift? I plan on putting 225/65 15 or 225/55 16 on and will need tire to strut clearance too.

I read that the 90-91 struts raise it up 3/4 inch. What are the other struts that lift them up?

And I can not afford a Coil over setup.

I believe struts from any 02-04 Impreza bolt up pretty easily and raise the car up. You need springs that fit and you have to do something about the rear strut tops and the rear camber.

I had 03 struts and springs on my 93 turbo sedan and they raised it noticeably. I put 04 WRX sedan struts and 03 WRX wagon springs on my 99 Impreza and they raised it a bunch too.

If you really want it up high, it seems like Forester struts are the way to go, but then you have to be prepared for a really floaty ride. Check out this thread on RS25.com.
