Clutch line replacement?

Post by 91legacyawdturbo »

So I put in a act 2600 clutch into my 91 SS and the clutch pedal becomes weak a
Slushy, I'm thinking that the rubber hose isnt able to deal with the higher pressure
needed to engage, I've replaced the slave cylinder, clutch master cylinder, the metal
line to the slave, I've blead it count less times and over night it'll become weak again,
So long story short what kind if replacement aftermarket hose can I use, anything from
A wrx, or sti?? Plus can I get rid of the valve piece directly underneath the clutch master cylinder, that
Is plummbed from the master cylinder to the valve ( it has a bleeder screw) then goes into another banjo
Bolt to the slave cylinder???

The clutch damper? Yes remove that and run the hose down to the slave. You'll need to bend the hard line to make it reach but I've done it and it will work. There is no need to upgrade your hose. I have the stock hose and my clutch is solid as hell. It's either the damper that's making it feel that way or you're not getting all the air out.

Josh, or anyone, Is there a direct replacement? That website's "add to cart" isn't working. I could go ship around i guess and pick up the fittings, but one piece would be cool..

Or email them
info@bakerprecision.com

Alternatively, you can take those Earl's part #'s put them into Google and find many places that sell those parts. For example:

cj, if you're going to go that route then just have someone local make it. That's what I'm going to do for my brake lines.
