So I am in the market for all new calipers all around, I already bought new rotors and pads and installed them but they seem to not want to STOP grabbing the rotors, either that or i have bearing noise...either way freshening up a nearly 20 year old brake system couldn't be a bad idea...especially since my daughter will be in there too
Anyway I was looking on a few sites for the best prices and it seems that all these part stores mix in the NA calipers with the turbo ones....they have little notes like "AWD w/ 15" wheels" I am assuming that means they are for the 91-94 SS/TW but still not 100% sure.
does anyone have a part number for the correct calipers, i could get autozone ones as they are the only ones that actually allow you to see they are for the turbo model and have a decent price.....but they are Durashit calipers....I would like to get the Centric calipers if possible, if anyone could help that'd be nice.

if anyone knows the correct specs also would help, rockauto has the best price along with partsgeek, but of course partsgeek is out of stock of the rear right caliper... rockauto lists a few specs such as:
Front Left 43mm
Front Right 43mm
Rear Left 38mm
Rear Right 38mm
seems that A LOT of different subarus use these same calipers...maybe not the same mounting brackets.. not sure if they use the same part #s too or if they don't just to try and confuse people....I just want to not be returning calipers b/c they aren't the right ones

N/A fronts are the same as the turbos'. the rears are different, the turbo has vented were the N/A has solid. Most people do WRX fronts and leave the rears. I did this on my SS and have WRX all around on my LS. 2 and 4 pots as well brembos are common just a little pricey. Look on NASIOC for used parts. the only thing that might need to be changed on 20 year old calipers is the seals other than thaty no need replacing it with the same thing.

The turbo got a 2-pot caliper and 276mm rotors. N/A got a 1-pot and 260mm rotors.
The fronts are only on the turbo legacy and 96 LGT and outback. The 97 LGT front brakes are the same size but the calipers and pads are a little different and I heard recently they don't fit under the wheels.
The rear brakes are ONLY on the turbo legacy.
Instead of just replacing them you could try a rebuild kit. New seals, dust boots, and slide pins would probably have them working like new.
Jamal I was hoping you would jump in here and now I feel like an idiot but I could have sworn my fronts were the same. I guess the best thing to do is just ready the sticky.
xise- Jamal and I both agree though, no need to buy the same calipers just get a rebuild kit. And I appologize for giving wrong info.
