Wrx suspension into my 93 ss, rear clunks?

So I have a 93 sedan turbo, for a set of 03 wrx sedan struts with eibach springs. The fronts bolted in perfectly, then obviously the rears weren't matching up so we switched the tops off the 93 rears and put them on the 03 struts.

So everything was fine minus a clunk noise in both rears, we added a couple washers and I can't tell if it helped or not.

Any suggestions?

Where did you add the washers? Make sure all the tophat nuts are tight as well as the strut rod nut?
Worst case, you could raise the rear of the car off the ground and try to 'shake' the tire to locate the noise.

The washers are beneath the top lock nut, all other bolts and nuts are tight, ill try and lift the rear up and shake the tire to help try to locate

Did you use an pnuematic gun. lLke beatersubi said try and tighten the strut rod nut, I call it a Jesus nult. That was always my problem.

may want to pull a rear assembly off, take it apart, and put the top on the strut without the spring to make sure it seats properly. If anything the washer would go below the top on the shoulder of the strut like you have to do when you use an -03 impreza strut on an 04-

Could there be a problem if we used the rear wrx springs with the 93 legacy top hats, I did use a pnuematic impact on the struts.

Clunks are gone! We took the strut back out and realized there was a small gap between the 93 top hats and 03 wrx mounts so we got the perfect size washers and put two in between each hat. Brians(91legacy) a genius
