hey just wondering if these snow tires will fit i already have them and rather not sell, so if i can make them work that be great.

1993 legacy L wagon stock

stock tire 185/70/14

snow tires 205/70/14

will they clear the strut? rub on fender? i dont mind rolling the fender lip if it means i can use them.

Fits fine. I've seen that size on Legacies/Imprezas a few times before.

okay thank you. guy at the tire shop said he wouldnt put them on because according to him they wont fit. anyone with personal experience use this size?

I think they'll be a little on the tall size, but may work. According to http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html

The stock tire (185's) will have the following specs:

Sidewall: 5.1 in
Radius: 12.1 in
Diameter: 24.2 in
Circumference: 76.0 in
Revs/mile: 834.0

New tire (205) will have following specs

Sidewall: 5.6 in
Radius: 12.6 in
Diameter: 25.3 in
Circumference: 79.5 in
Revs/mile: 797.0

Speedometer reading with non-stock tire is 4.6% too slow.
When your speedo reads 60 mph, you are actually traveling 62.7 mph.

Thanks josh i tried that calculator thing too. Im not concerned about the speed difference just if ill rub on the strut.

It will definitely not rub the strut.
