TCU Power Mode Pins
I just wanna make sure I got this right.
So in order to do the power mode mod, I move Pin 6 on my B46 connector on the TCU, which controls the manual button on my shifter, over to pin A4 which should be empty. Then that will make my manual button a 'power' button, correct?

I swapped the pins. B46 Pin 6 over to Pin 4 and it didn't work. The manual button still lights up the manual light and 'Power' doesn't come on in D 1, 2, or 3. Pin 6 was blue with a yellow stripe. The pin came out and snapped into slot 4.
Another thing is that I can NEVER get 'power' mode to activate ever even if I stomp it flat out, but the light does work because it illuminates when the car is on.

Is this on your 94 turbo legacy wagon?
Are you saying you can never get power mode to activate before you tried moving the pin?
Are you sure you have the correct connector and pins?

Yes, never got it to activate.
Yes, I think.
It's the clip with 10, or closest to the floor. I counted to the 6th one on the release clip side of the connector, unpinned and moved into the empty spot of Pin 4. The power light turns on when the car starts then it goes away. The manual button still activated the manual light.

I guess what I would recommend you verify is that you're looking at the pin and the diagram correctly. If you look at the TCU I/O

This is looking directly at the TCU, where as if you're looking at the connector, you would be looking at the inverse/opposite of the actual pins on the TCU. So what you might think as pin 6 could be pin 5 and what you think is 4 could be 7.

Hmm, I'm not really following you Josh.. So when I pull out the connector.. I pulled the 6th pin on the top row, and moved it to the empty 4th pin. Should I try the opposite side?

The fact that you're not getting POWER mode @ all, makes me wonder if your TCU is acting up. This mod should work on all TCUs, from '92-'99 ('95-99 just don't have the POWER light anymore and won't have the Manual button), from what I've read. The car runs and shifts fine otherwise, correct?
Did you try just grounding B46 pin 4? Per the original Power Mod thread?

The Tranny has no issues and shifts well. How would I ground out Pin 4? What would be a good example of how to ground it?

Take a look at these two diagrams, specifically the numbering for the B46 connector

The numbering for the B46 connector when looking at the TCU I/O is oriented as if you are looking directly at the TCU connector. The number 1 pin is located in the top right corner, and looks something like this:

If you can picture it in your head when you put the TCU connector and the chassis connector together the numbering matches up. So as you can see, depending on what diagram you are looking at and how it has the number orientation laid out, that can make a difference on how you read which pin number is which. This scan from the fsm also shows what I'm talking about.

Another good way of verifying you have the correct pin to make sure the wire color matches what's in the diagram. Based on the info I have for the 90 Legacy FSM, the manual button wire should be blue with a yellow stripe.
Additionally, the manual light on the dash will still illuminate, even if you did move the pin successfully. So I may tend to agree with Todd.....if you could never seem to get it into power mode beforehand, there may be another issue even if you've repinned things properly.
