I just swapped my n/a 5mt wagon with the motor from a 92 SS auto, and I just can't the idle to be CHILL OUT! Now, my turbo inlet pipe is JUNK, ordered one from Canada should get it soon. Who knows about this 'Trans. I.D.' wire to ecu have anything to do with this? I pulled it (black w/white tracer I believe) and with all my vacuum leaks at the time, it was hard to tell if it did anything. Like I said, most vacuum leaks fixed soon I hope, we'll see from there.

You don't need to mess w/the Trans ID wire in your situation....only if you were swapping the transmission from AT>>5-speed.
If you're running the TURBO ECU it doesn't care what trans you have - ECUs are the same for both 5-speeds and Autos.
Until you get a good 90° elbow and can verify you have no leaks, you won't know for sure....and neither will we.

Yeah, I didn't think it mattered. Ermergad I can't wait for the elbow to show up. That will narrow my broad search for never-ending vac leaks. Also, how does replacing broken knock sensor sound? Yeah for $10 I can get a new a/m one and hopefully further narrow my search for issues down. Budget motor swaps suuuuck, but I needed to do it.

Replace the KS, yes....the one from your old engine will work too. But new for $10 is a good deal.

KS from old car bunk too. Both cracked. Now I'm getting intermittent start. It'll crank all day, and I'm getting a cel with a bunch of codes. Grrrrrr

So did you do anything with the trans id pin/wire?

What codes are you getting?

I put the trans ID pin back in to the ecu, I'm not even sure it made any difference. I've got so many drivabilty issues its hard to narrow it down to one problem. At least it starts and will run right now.
