New Guy with some Questions.

How's it going everyone. I'm new here and new to Subaru's. I picked up a 93 Legacy Wagon a couple of weeks ago. I had some questions about it that I have been searching on for the last couple of weeks, and there are still a few of them I haven't been able to come up with solid answers for. So any help you guys can provide will be greatly appreciated.

First of is Fog Lights. My front bumper looks to be slightly different than a lot of other Legacys I have seen. However I have seen some with the same or very similar front bumper. It has spots that look like they could fit fog lights and I have seen some people with them and they said they are using JDM Legacy fog lights. Are those JDM Legacy fogs coming off a newer Legacy like late 90's or something because I am not finding any fog lights for legacys from this year/generation. Or does anybody know a fog light that will fit in this space?

Second would be a roof rack. From my research I"m gathering that Q38 clips and Q towers are what are working for people. Can anyone confirm this? I'm looking for something that will attach to my current rails that are running along the sides of the roof that will allow me to mount some crossbars. The Thule and Yakima fit guides are showing no results for me.

And lastly would be a lip. I've heard something about the sti v limited lip or something like that. Does that sound right, or anybody know of one that will work?

Welcome to the BBS Jake.

Regarding the fog lights, most people are using overseas foglights meant for the early Legacies. You have to either find someone selling them or get lucky on ebay. You could probably retrofit a set of aftermarket lights. There were no factory fog lights for the first gen Legacies in north america.

The lip, most people will use lips from other cars and just modify them to fit. You will find very little in regards to aftermarket parts that are specifically listed for these cars. However, there are a lot of parts listed for other Subarus that fit and work.

Q38 clips are for the gutters/trim pieces above your window. Not for your OEM Roof Rack.

Hey Jake,

I have an 07 STi V Limited Lip on my wagon, it's just a replica as the OEM one is way too much money haha. You can get em on Ebay for about $60. Looks really good in my opinion, you can look at my picture thread on here for reference.

As far as fogs go, I have heard of people using Integra lights as they fit in there really nicely. I don't have fogs but plan on doing this sometime soon.

Thanks for the replies guys. I actually changed my mind and decided a gutter mount roof rack would work better for me so thanks for confirming they'll work, I'll be picking up a set here pretty soon.
And thanks for the info about the 07 STI v limited lip. That's the one I had heard about but couldn't remember. I'll definitely have to go look at your pics. And my buddy has an Integra so I'll have to see if he has fogs I could test and or buy.
Again thanks for your help, hopefully I can get my project rollin now. I'll keep you guys updated.
