Source for new EJ22T piston rings

Post by S Webster »

Hi. yall. Searching for a set of EJ22T piston rings. I've done a lite port and polish, and valve job. Figured I ota' replace the rings and a little hone job since it's down this far. A friend that has a Suby shop in Santa Fe said " ya, just pull 'em and clean the pistons and oil rings and put it back together. End gaps are within factory limits, but it just seems right to replace them. No luck so far, N/A's are every where but the 1.5-1.5-3.0's seem to be hard to find. I'm buildin' this for a conversion into my 88 GL10T daily driver wagon, and the rings are holding my back from the install. Guidance appreciated. Steve.

I'm assuming you've tried the local subaru dealers. Have you tried any of the online subaru dealers, http://www.subaruparts.com http://www.subarugenuineparts.com http://www.1stsubaruparts.com

Other place you could try is crawford performance. They used to buy ej22t blocks, and would just use the blocks. A couple years ago I got brand new stock pistons. If they don't have any, they may be able to point you to some place that does have them.
