Fuel Tank questions

Ok so I had a leaky tank, lines, broken strap etc so I decided it was time to replace the tank, so I grab an 02 STi tank seeing how it comes with the sending unit and pump in place, as it was only $65..can't go wrong right?

I do need to order some straps for it and was wondering if any other straps will work. I assume since most of these tanks are similar, almost any straps would work but just want to be sure. Also is there any place to get a new filler neck with the hard lines, mine are looking really crappy but don't leak yet...

parts stores seem to just not have any straps etc, I would like to avoid the dealer and will make my won straps if need be...

Will the STi tank work? I've never tried sticking an impreza tank in a legacy.

You will probably have to get the straps from the dealer, a junk yard or make you're own.

the fuel tanks connections are different for newer models, the main vent line is smaller and the other two were ment to connect to a valve not the filler neck. you might be able to make it work with a new filler neck from ebay for the legacy.
