Power Steering Cap: Where to find?

Post by LucyFord »

Lost my second powersteering cap for the legacy yesterday. It popped off for the 100th time but this time must have fallen onto the street. Called around the local auto stores with no luck. Anyone know where to quickly source these? Or if there is a trick to getting them not to pop off.

Maybe I'm not thinking straight today, but what are the power steering caps?

Think Reservoir josh :)

A junkyard would be the fastest way, so long as they have any 90-01 or so Subaru's in there.

I'm not sure how you haven't had luck securing them. They should be threaded. Is it possible that you have the wrong application cap?

Yeah....I guess that's why I'm confused because the power steering cap screws in and shouldn't go anywhere. Like Mike said, you may have the wrong one.
