93 diff noise

Spor Sport Wagon J 22t automatic. My front diff. Makes a bad screeching noise when I accelerate firm to hard the transmission shift excellent. Is it very difficult to separate the front diff from the transmission can just replace it?

Have you checked the front diff fluid? The dipstick for the front diff fluid is on the passenger side of the trans.

As for replacing the diff, yeah it's pretty involved. The entire trans would need to be dropped and the two sections separated.

Yes I've changed it. It's been making the noise for a year now . Has gotten worse.I got the tranny pull. Was wondering how hard it is to separate the two Kinda thinking it might be the torque converter. PSw

You have to pull the torque converter shaft out, and then you may be able to remove the differential section. I've never tried to disassemble the trans/diff so I'm not sure.
