Hello. I have a 93 legacy turbo 2.0 twin cam that i want to increse the turbo preasure. Im not sure what orginal preasure is, but mine is nor 0.9 bar with orginal turbo.. What do i have to do to increse, and how much preasure can my turbo and engine handle? Vf8 turbo
Adding a picture of the solonoid that goes on turbo and the vacum unit on the turbo.. Thanks!
Replace that solenoid with an aftermarket manual boost controller such as a hallman. Then you can increase or decrease by turning the knob on the controller. You can just plug those lines coming off the stock one when you swap it out
The manual boost controller is installed like this:
The original solenoid stays plugged in electrically, and its lower vacuum hoses stays plugged in as well.
Then you "tune" with the MBC, cranking it up slowly and seeing how much boost you can achieve before it hits fuel cut. Might be 15psi, might be less. Either way you'll get a couple PSI in there, and a quicker turbo spool to boot.

Wait....I'm confused now.
For example, hose L would go into the manual boost controller (MBC), and the output of the MBC would go into hose K. Hose J needs to be plugged at the intake resonator and a simple vacuum cap works fine for this.
