so i just finished my z4 swap and started my car up and it started fine. drove nice but did have a cel. once it was warmed up i tried a couple of hard pulls and i was hit fuel/boost cut around 8 psi i think. went to work for 3 or so hours and came back out to go home, its about 35 to 40 degrees up here, and the car is very hard to start and keep idling, i had to give it a bit of gas to get it to idle. even then the idle is extremely rough. i check the codes (black connecters) and it gave me code 45 for the map. i find this a little weird because it was working perfectly with the 22t ecu.
so i drove it for a while, having read about the 20g cold start problems, i thought that if i got it up to operating temp it would even out the idle. no luck. so i decided to run d-check mode. and it came up with codes 43 and 45.
im goin to do more research tomorrow, but any help is appreciated.
Thanks guys!

Re: z4 swap/code 43,45 help
Hi,
You didn't read my THREAD on running the EJ20G ECU...or you'd have read this:
I'd fix the Code 45 and see what comes back.
The idle issue may be your IAC/ idle air control valve. My Rob-tuned EJ20G ECU just started to have a poor idle when warm and warming up and the car would die @ stop lights randomly. I replaced ONLY THE TOP portion of the IAC and it's 100% better...and my EJ20G cold-start issue is slightly better (maybe). Easy to just remove the two screws, note the orientation (although it should be marked w/white paint) and reinstall.
I'd also recommend cleaning the IAC by pouring some Seafoam or other suitable cleaner down the IAC's intake tube while manually turning the IAC valve back and forth - easy to do w/the top off. When you restart the car you'll get some/a lot of white smoke out of the exhaust 'til it's used up so be aware!

You didn't read my THREAD on running the EJ20G ECU...or you'd have read this:

Code 43 is a Throttle switch on THIS SITE for the WRX.Wiring
The ignition differences are described above, but the MAP sensor also needs addressed. Otherwise, it'll throw a code - 45. The solution is to remove pin 5 on B48 and join it with pin 21 on B48 @ the ECU connector.
I'd fix the Code 45 and see what comes back.
