Engine won't jack up!

Engine won't jack up!
I unbolted the motor mounts and the mount thing on the top but when I jack the engine from the oil pan the engine goes up for a couple inches but then the whole car gets lifted. It seems to be hitting somewhere. What am I doing wrong?

Is your exhaust still on? Is the trany hitting the body?

Yes exhaust is still on and now that I look at it it looks like theres not much space between the exhaust and body

Got it! Thanks Rallyak! It was the exhaust.
I am doing the heads gaskets.. but it turns out that my block is blown! Pictures in new thread coming up!
