long time lurker first time poster.
The OEM water to air intercooler on JDM first gen legacies, more specifically the heat exchanger. what is its size and location?

I was browsing https://jp-carparts.com/subaru/carlist.php?maker=subaru to look at parts diagrams to try and get a better look at the heat exchangers and the drawing is potato quality at best.


Anyway, this is more of a general question as I am genuinely just curious I am building a water to air intercooler system for my 1991 legacy and would like some inspiration for that oem fit and feel. Though likely no oem bits will be used.

A little context I've been playing with BC's for about 8 years now.

I have done a few engine swaps (EJ257), and in the past few years have gotten into autox.

I'd suggest taking a look at my threads regarding my AWIC setup. The second thread is about the custom radiator I had built. The only thing I would do differently is add a bleed screw/fitting on the top of the radiator to help get the air out of the system during initial fill/bleeding.
