Dan,

Sounds very nice! What 1/4 times have you run? Where?

Where in NZ is the Bilstein susps available (or where's a good place to get
them)? What size struts/shafts are they? Cost (approx)?

Regards,

Phil

BTW Greetings all from a list newbie :-)

Not sure of the 1/4 times, I haven't taken it down because I blew my
gearbox up. We normally do the runs at Meri Meri drag strip in the
North Island, about mid 12's.

Autolign in NZ, the valving was stiffened, you wouldn't really need
to do that though, they are very stiff out of the box. When they are
doing the rears get the tophat bushes replaced with nolathane bushes.
I didn't and had to get that done later which cost more money and
hastle. The reason these die is the stiffness of the strut flogs the
orginal Subaru bushes out and the strut makes a lovely squeeking &
clonking noise from the rear when you go over bumps. My friends car
is now doing the same with no valve changes.

The cost is $280 each corner and the bushes approx $130 x 2 rear
including labour.

Note: The Bilsteins are inserts so you get nothing back.

The shaft diameter is around 40mm, I will have to check tonight.

Dan

Thanks for the info Dan,

I look forward to seeing your car at Merimeri one day - mid 12s would put the
wind up some of the Evos ;-)

I think those struts will be the next mod for my friends RS in the handling
department - they sound very good.

Cheers,

Phil
